01 Nov Perinatal Depression & Anxiety Awareness Week
Perinatal Depression and Anxiety week is 12 – 18 November 2017.
The peak body – Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia (PANDA) are encouraging women affected by peri and post natal depression to share their stories.
It’s an illness that affects around 100,000 families across Australia every year and can even put lives at risk.
PANDA’s ‘It happened to me’ campaign will be encouraging people everywhere who have been affected by perinatal anxiety or depression to share their personal stories of the illness.
By having people sharing their ‘It happened to me’ stories in communities right across Australia it will help raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of perinatal anxiety and depression. It will also illustrate how common it is and help to reduce stigma.
PANDA want mums and dads of ALL ages to share their stories, showing that perinatal anxiety and depression can happen to anyone.
